Healing prayer at SPR is a ministry that grows out of our community. The church has always prayed for people’s needs, whether for physical healing, healing of relationships, help for difficult situations, or relief from mental/emotional problems. The Episcopal Church has a long history of healing ministry.
At SPR, we find that healing prayer can naturally follow the Eucharist. This means that, after you receive the bread and wine, you are welcome to go to the area in front of the columbarium, where a person will pray with you. You can name a specific need or ask for prayer in general. We use prayers of healing from the Book of Common Prayer. And, of course, anything shared with a person on the healing prayer team is held in strict confidence.
