Small Groups

Small Groups are about going deeper — going deeper in our relationship with God and our relationships with each other. Small Groups meet once a week for a set period, usually 5 to 8 weeks, to tackle a big topic by engaging with pieces of scripture, theology, literature, and art, as well as by drawing on personal experiences.  By the end of a Small Group series, folks have grown in their understanding and have forged meaningful relationships with people they might not otherwise get to know. Small Groups are convened twice a year: in the fall and during Lent (late winter).

Join a Lent Small Group to take part in important conversations about racism, reconciliation, and justice. Members of the SPR Anti-Racism working group, clergy, and fellow parishioners will facilitate discussions framed by Drew G.I. Hart’s book, Trouble I’ve Seen: Changing the Way the Church Views Racism. We will explore the impact of racism on the church, share our stories, and discuss ways to strengthen our own faith-driven commitment to racial justice at SPR. Groups will meet four times between February 25 - March 24. Sign up in the Narthex, email or fill the form below.
